We’re looking for a skilled C# Software Engineer with experience in backend web application development to join our team in Diegem, near Brussels, Belgium.


You will work within a multidisciplinary team to build a next‑generation, web‑based MBSE platform aligned with the new SysML v2 standard and powered by the CDP4‑COMET framework. The platform supports collaborative, concurrent engineering workflows for complex systems across domains such as aerospace and automotive. You will contribute to developing tools used by system engineers, domain specialists, and project reviewers.

Tasks and activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Developing and maintaining core platform components using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Blazor
  • Enhancing the SysML2.NET SDK to comply with the final SysML v2 specification.
  • Implementing backend services, RESTful APIs, and Systems Modelling API endpoints using .NET Core.
  • Supporting model server development, including data persistence, access control, and messaging.
  • Integrating authentication and role‑based access controls using JWT, OIDC, LDAP, and related technologies.
  • Supporting migration tooling from ECSS‑E‑TM‑10‑25 and SysML v1 to SysML v2.
  • Writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests; contribute to the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Participating in SCRUM sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups with a cross-functional team.
  • Working closely with the UI/UX responsible to integrate frontend components and data bindings.

Skills and experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core and Blazor, or a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, modular architecture, and web development.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API development and skilled in Git, CI/CD, and agile practices.
  • Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
  • Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:


  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), SysML, UML, or DSLs.
  • Familiarity with serialization formats (JSON, MessagePack, XMI) and performance profiling.
  • Knowledge of cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure or AWS).
  • Experience working on open-source projects or distributed international teams.
  • Understanding of secure software development practices and authentication protocols.
