Radar System Integration & Validation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Radar System Integration & Validation Engineer to join a leading Radar Systems Center of Excellence. The engineer will support the integration and validation of next-generation 77GHz automotive radar products, working closely with system architects, hardware teams, and validation engineers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-tech, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead radar system integration and validation activities within cross-functional development teams.
  • Execute system integration strategies and ensure alignment with technical and project requirements.
  • Translate customer acceptance criteria into robust test and validation concepts.
  • Define, develop, and execute system validation plans, including bench development.
  • Perform 77GHz radar system measurements using RF and microwave lab equipment.
  • Develop, adapt, and automate system-level validation test cases.
  • Collaborate closely with system, product, and IP architects to refine requirements and system definitions.
  • Support creation and optimisation of automated testing environments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive radar systems, with emphasis on integration and validation.
  • Strong experience with 77GHz radar chip validation and system-level measurements.
  • Deep understanding of HW/SW interaction in modern radar systems.
  • Hands-on experience with RF, microwave, and microcontroller measurement equipment.
  • Proficiency in lab automation and scripting (MATLAB, Python); Java knowledge is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Git, JIRA, and modern IDEs.
  • Experience with high-GHz system applications and automated test frameworks.
