Quest Search and Selection is currently looking for Senior category manager to oversee their Beauty assortment, delivering the best product selection at the most competitive prices for the DE consumers.

The business is for a retail e-commerce platform with operations in the UK & Europe, who is currently growing their Beauty category team! Their advanced technology offers fast and reliable delivery services, within hours or by the next day. The roles & responsibilities of this Senior Category Manager – Beauty role:

1. Lead purchasing and sales for the Beauty category, with a focus on Luxury Beauty.
2. Drive business development by onboarding leading brands and suppliers.
3. Analyse key metrics and sourcing gaps to develop strategies for improving category and supplier performance.
4. Monitor inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
5. Plan and execute sales strategies, including pricing and promotional campaigns.
6. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and fee, and ensure accurate data management.
7. Curate category-specific products aligned with consumer demand.
8. Work with international supply chain teams to secure resources and support.
9. Analyse sales and procurement data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and boost gross margins.
10. Collaborate with regional and local teams to implement proposed strategies.

The qualifications of this Senior Category Manager – Beauty Role:

1. Having experience gained within Category Management or Buying.
2. Experience within the Retail and eCommerce sectors, with a focus on Beauty in the German market bringing brands & of-the-shelf products together!
3. Experience within the one or more of the following branded categories (will be essential) skincare, make-up, fragrance, hair care, body care or beauty gift-sets.
4. Deep market knowledge and challenging conventional approaches to drive innovation products & range and growth in the category.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills that deliver strong product margins and compelling customer offers.
6. Energetic, entrepreneurial, and highly driven, with a strong sense of ownership.
7. Strong communicator and problem-solver.
8. Quick to learn and adapt, demonstrating entrepreneurial instincts through strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making.

1. 5 days in the office (1st 3 months 5 days in the office) then hybrid after.
2. X2 month salary bonus.
