The role involves developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to guarantee the highest-quality products.

The business is for a retail e-commerce platform with operations in the UK & Europe, who is currently growing their FMCG category team! The roles & responsibilities of this Senior Category Manager – Cleaning & Household role:

• Drive business development with brands and suppliers, securing leading labels.
• Lead purchasing and sales for the Cleaning, Household & Laundry category products.
• Analyse key metrics and identify sourcing gaps to improve supplier and category performance.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, including pricing structures and promotional campaigns.
• Identify and engage potential partners; manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and cost efficiencies.
• Validate fees and maintain accurate data records.
• Curate and select products aligned with consumer demand and usage scenarios.
• Collaborate with international supply chain teams to secure resources and support.
• Analyse sales and procurement data to identify trends, propose improvements, and enhance gross profit margins.
• Work closely with regional and local teams to implement strategies effectively.

The qualifications of this Senior Category Manager – Cleaning & Household Role:

• Ideally having 3- 8+ years’ background in retail merchandising as a Category Manager or in buying ideally within e-commerce or retail.
• Ideally having a strong network in FMCG sector.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is desirable.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and driving category growth.
• Skilled in Excel and Business Intelligence tools.
• Fluent in English.
